A new medical test developed by Renatek, a Japanese company, is now available in Nara Prefecture. The "Metal Balance Test" requires only 6 milliliters of blood to evaluate the risk of cancer and mild cognitive impairment, known as MCI. The test is being offered by Tanaka Urology Clinic, with appointments starting from December.
The test analyzes metal levels in the blood to detect early signs of disease. It is designed to identify imbalances that may indicate an increased risk of cancer or cognitive decline. The method is based on research that links metal metabolism to health conditions. Patients can now schedule appointments at the clinic to undergo the test.
Renatek has been working on this technology for several years, focusing on early disease detection through non-invasive methods. The company has previously developed other health-related diagnostic tools. This new test is part of a broader initiative to improve preventive healthcare in Japan. The availability of the test in Nara Prefecture marks a significant step in making advanced medical diagnostics more accessible to the public.
