A new medical test developed by Renatek, a Japanese company, is now available at Kurihara Hospital in Nagano City. The test, called the Metal Balance Test, requires only 6 milliliters of blood to evaluate the risk of cancer and mild cognitive impairment (MCI). The service began accepting reservations in December.
The test analyzes blood samples to detect imbalances in metal elements, which are believed to be linked to the development of cancer and cognitive decline. Early detection through this method could allow for earlier intervention and treatment. The test is part of Renatek’s ongoing efforts to improve early diagnosis and health monitoring.
Renatek has been working on this technology for several years, focusing on the relationship between metal levels in the body and various health conditions. The company has previously conducted research on the impact of trace elements on neurological health. This new test represents a significant step forward in personalized medicine and preventive healthcare.
